A Letter from Our President
I am truly excited to welcome you to the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary as we celebrate our 22nd year! Thank you for this incredible opportunity to grow together and make a positive impact in our community as we continue “Doing the Most Good.”
This past year, our membership exceeded 500 women—dedicated individuals who support the Salvation Army through funding and volunteering. This year, we are pleased to welcome Captains Michelle and Jeremy Walker, who will lead us by example in serving children, young adults, families, and seniors in the greater Houston area.
The theme for the 2025-2026 year is “Growing with Grace.” I am thrilled to serve as your President. As we embark on this journey together, let us remember the importance of grace in our lives—how we treat others and uplift ourselves. I find inspiration in Ephesians 4:7, which states, “But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.” This scripture resonates deeply with our Auxiliary’s mission, encouraging us to embrace the unique gifts we’ve been given and use them to better the lives of those who are less fortunate.
Thank you to our members for your dedication and service. If you are not a member, we would love for you to join us in supporting the Salvation Army Programs. We assist the Supportive Navigation Shelters, Community Care Centers, Disaster Services, Young Adult Resource Center, Veteran Services, Adult Rehabilitation Centers, and Youth Programs. “Reflections on Style” is our major fundraising event, which enables the Auxiliary to supplement these programs with much-needed grants
As we gather in fellowship and service, I am excited about the events and initiatives we will undertake. Let us cultivate a spirit of unity and kindness, embracing the grace surrounding us. Thank you once again for your trust and support.
I look forward to a wonderful year of collaboration, compassion, and growth.
With warm regards,
